Founder and president of Vista Center for Behavior Analysis.  Vista has been working with individuals with autism and their families since 2001, using a treatment model based on the science of applied behavior analysis.  Dr. Massel is a Licensed Psychologist in California and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-doctoral level. 

Panelists:

Areva Martin, Esq.

President and co-founder of the Special Needs Network and a member of the Department of Managed Health Care’s Autism Insurance Task Force. Ms. Martin is known to audiences across the country from her regular appearances on The Dr. Phil Show and Anderson Cooper 360, as well as stops at the The CBS Early Show and FOX News. She is an authority on workplace issues, disability rights, education, custody and women’s issues.

Rick Rollens

Speaker at autism conferences throughout the world.  Legislative Advisor to the Association of Regional Center Agencies, member of the DMHC Autism Insurance Task Force.  Mr. Rollens is also a political consultant and an internationally known advocate for autism research.

Rhonda Robinson Beale, M.D.

Chief Medical Officer of External Affairs for Optum, a leading service organization for mental health and substance use solutions and a member of DMHC’s Autism Insurance Task Force. Dr. Robinson Beale develops quality initiatives and clinical systems for OptumHealth Behavioral Solutions that help members get the right help at the right time, resulting in improved outcomes and reduction of overall health care costs for customers.

Connie Lapin

For over 40 years Ms. Lapin has been an internationally known lecturer and consumer/legislative advocate for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has involved testifying before governmental bodies and lecturing at universities and conferences. She has been honored as Woman of the Year by Assembly Member Bob Blumenfield and she was also honored by First Lady Nancy Reagan at the White House.
